Each year around 850 children right from first minutes of their life (at the age of 0 to 1 month) get into hospital to undergo treatment in the Department of Neonatal Pathology of the Chernivtsi Regional Children's Clinical Hospital (Ruska Str., 207-A).
The provision of immediate operational assistance affects the treatment duration that may last for several months. Only innovative medical equipment may significantly shorten this period, increasing operativeness and effectiveness of the therapy. However, currently hospital does not owe it, but the necessity is really criticall.
Needed equipment includes:
- pulse oximeter
- syringe pump
- open system of intensive care
The advantage of these appliances is that it is fully mobile and may be used within current hospital conditions, immediately increasing effectiveness and operativeness of the provision of medical care to infants, right after transfer of the equipment to doctors and educational training on its functioning.
The project presupposes the purchase of:
Pulse Oximeter `Rad 8`, manufactured by Masimo, USA - 2 pieces (with 2 sensors for multiple usage).
Syringe Pump `Alaris CC Plus`, manufactured by BD, USA - 2 pieces.
Open intensive care system `Amenic e-servo` (with quartz lamp), manufactured by Ardo Medical, Switzerland - 1 piece.
After delivery and equipment installation, hospital personnel will pass the educational sessions on the exploitation specificity.
